“I visited the Grill at Harryman House last night for a good-bye celebration for our former Executive Director. The staff was attentive and did an excellent job accommodating when 15 showed for a 12 person reservation.
Be sure to check the specials menu in addition to the regular menu. I was surprised to see “South Carolina Wreckfish” on the menu and ordered it when our server said it was well received. The fish was served with small delicate chantarelle mushrooms and snow peas. This was one of the best seafood meals I have been served. I drove over 100 miles home with a smile on my face after eating every morsel.
Harryman House has some excellent local beers on tap. I enjoyed a Birdhouse before dinner and sipped a Jailbreak during dinner.
This was my first visit to the Grill at Harryman House because it was a special occasion. I will return with my wife and hope the wreckfish is still on the menu.”
